I always get a little nervous when I know there’s no turning back. That’s today. I will finish my last pass through Cold to the Bone and return it to the publisher. A copy editor will make the changes indicated, and then it’s set in stone. No more changes. Not even if a comma is out of place or a word is used too much too soon (both of which I corrected this time around, along with many other issues). I want it to be perfect. I want it to be loved. I hope this truly is like the birthing of a baby–the beauty outshines any minor imperfections. Happy reading begins August 11th!
